Introduction to Thrune Lore
One thing you may notice as you are reading the Lore is that there are portions which may conflict, slightly or in totality. This is because, in-setting, there are conflicting sources of information and no method of determining legitimacy. Histories and mythos are written by a variety of different authors, from different perspectives, and some omit or alter things to suit their whims and agendas.
Most of the great libraries and centers of learning fell to the darkness, and what remains are scraps that either already existed in the hands of those on the frontier, random texts and myths carried down in spoken word, or those few volumes that refugees carried with them as they fled the horrors. Furthermore, the Divines do not answer questions directly, and what little communication anyone has ever had with them is cryptic visions and half-remembered dreams.
Players are encouraged to come to their own conclusions, and allow their characters to see the world through a tinted lens.
