One of the most interesting and least detailed periods of history was the uprising of the Bastard Reynard, who usurped Astor Eldstone, around 3230. Of the period there were a few moldy old works, mostly detailing lineages and conflicting as to who had a rightful claim of the throne due to primogeniture.

Regardless of who was in the right, the Bastard Reynard gathered several Houses under his banner and after a short and bloody campaign managed to depose Astor Eldstone. While common practice was the execution of all those of the opposing faction, Reynard was merciful and took no further actions against the Houses who had refuted his claim. Some believe it was due to a lengthy letter penned by Tychar Sendus, a soldier who had served under the Bastard’s banner.
