A general in the Imperial Army, it is unknown when he was born, but he died due to an unknown illness in 1202. He was influential in the Second Great Expansion, when the Empire swept north and brought several large territories under control. During his northern campaign, he fought against Vyaldur clans, eventually forcing Jarl Hakkan Swordbreaker to surrender. Years later he would also be instrumental in putting down an Ughol horde that swept out of the West.

After his northern campaign, he penned a collective of his wisdom, which was later referred to as “On War”, which many great commanders would later quote, and which seemed to shape Imperial military doctrine for thousands of years.

“War is nothing more than the use of violent means to compel a rival nation to bend to our will.”

“There are times when you must devastate an enemy so thoroughly that you never need fear reprisal. There are times when precision is called for, and by destroying the compelling force, the rest of an army lays down their arms and welcomes you. Knowing which of the two that must be implemented is the true measure of a leader.”
