Lived from 3822 to 3912, and was the Grand Counselor to both Emperor Vitares and his son Emperor Corevius.

He had rather humble beginnings and served as a court jester under Lord Abarris of House Nereas, until at a whim Lord Abarris asked his opinion on a case where two bannermen pledged to House Nereas were in conflict. Striona listened carefully and gave Lord Abarris an answer which did not rely upon emotion, but rather sensibility. After Lord Abarris handled the situation with his bannermen, he appointed Striona as his Counsellor. Years later, Lord Abarris sent Striona to Emperor Vitares to act as Grand Counsellor and liaison to House Nereas, where Striona would remain.

Over the years, Striona became known as someone who considered multiple angles to an issue and would come up with a simple answer that tended to serve all sides of a conflict.

When questioned as to the origin of his wisdom, Irren Striona simply said that he sought out a path of reason. He was also fond of quoting the philosopher Cyarnos, and applied many of his lessons to difficulties that were currently being faced.

After his death, Emperor Corevius would collect all of his wise sayings in a single book and had copies sent to all of the Lords and Ladies of the Realm. This led to a resurgence in philosophical debate across the realm which had been almost absent for centuries.
